Southern Cross Goldfields maintains a local operations office in Southern Cross, with a residential workforce. As a result of operations, the Company contributes significantly to the Yilgarn economy through expenditure for contractors, retail and wholesale goods, tenement rates and rents, hire of machinery and equipment, etc.
As exploration continues, the Company will:
- Work with Indigenous groups to offer employment and career opportunities
- Support pastoral industry, with responsible mining and employment for local workforce
- Assist with conservation park management issues, including wild dog control and bushfire control
