Dan Calvert, Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary

Dan Calvert is an accountant with 25 years mining industry experience in various operational, accounting and management roles in Australia, New Zealand and Greece. Dan has extensive experience in the metalliferous sector and is familiar with a wide range of mining operations. Prior to joining Southern Cross Goldfields Dan worked with Endeavour Resources Ltd, Whim Creek Consolidated NL, Pasminco Ltd, Australian Consolidated Minerals Ltd, Normandy Mining Ltd, MPI Mines Ltd and LionOre Australia as well as consulting roles with HSE Mining Pty Ltd, MIM Ltd, Hillgrove Gold Ltd and Batavia Mining Ltd.

He has been a Registered Mine Manager and has a strong background in operations management, project analysis, feasibility studies, risk management and accounting. Dan has an accounting degree from the University of New England.

Richard Simmons - Exploration Manager

Richard Simmons has 17 years experience in exploration in Australia and Fiji. He has held positions as Project and Senior Geologist for Aberfoyle Resources Ltd, Newmont Holdings Pty Ltd, Newcrest Mining Ltd and Delta Gold Ltd. He is associated with discoveries and resource expansions at Location 48 and Lady Ida in the Eastern Goldfields. Experience includes both grass roots and near mine gold, silver, copper and tin exploration in Western Australia, NSW, Victoria, Queensland, Tasmania and Fiji.
